Land Grant Trophy
From NCAA Wiki
The Land Grant Trophy is presented to the winner of the Penn State vs Michigan State football game. The rivalry game started in 1993. The game is contested the last week of Big Ten Conference play each year.
The trophy is designed by former MSU coach George Perles. The trophy features pictures of Penn State's Old Main and Michigan State's Beaumont Tower. Penn State won the most recent meeting 31-22 in November of 2005 at Spartan Stadium. The overall series between the schools is tied at 11-11-1.
Penn State University and Michigan State University are the nation's oldest land-grant universities, hence the name for the trophy. They are also the most recent additions to the Big Ten.
